Project Description
Assistive Technology (AT) is any item, pieces of equipment or product system (whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized) that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of a child with a disability. AT is needed for all subject areas: math, reading, spelling, vision, hearing, writing, studying, organization, language/communication, comprehension/listening, and behavior/self-regulation. AT can come in the forms of low technology to high technology. Mustang Public Schools has an AT library for teachers to check out as the needs of their students become evident to help their students participate with the peers and become successful in the classroom setting. Out goal for this project is to purchase more for our AT inventory based on the requested needs from the classroom teachers this school year for student within the classrooms.
