Bikes aren’t just for the road or gym. Incorporating pedal desks in the school setting is a perfect way to help all students move and learn simultaneously, channel fidgeting and reduce classroom disruptions by pedaling away at their desk. Pedal desks are cleverly designed for use in the classroom. They have a unique desktop shape and can be arranged in multiple configurations to accommodate various classroom layouts. They are quiet, cordless, easy to get in and out of and easy to move. The media center also plans to join the nationwide Read and Ride initiative in which student are challenged to read and ride a certain amount of miles, time, pages of a book, etc.
